When you order a scooter from us, we ship it in one package. Once your scooter arrives, you just need to finish assembling it. It is very simple, and we will explain exactly how the scooter assembly works. With these tips, you are guaranteed to succeed.
How to assemble your scooter – 10 steps to a ready-to-ride scooter
You can easily assemble your scooter by following these 10 steps. The tips apply to most scooters from various brands.
Step 1
Once your package has arrived, open it and take out all the parts for your scooter. Next, remove any protective film and other packaging from the individual components.
Step 2
For most models, you will have two components:
- The deck with wheels
- The handlebars
The individual components are already pre-assembled. Scooters in higher price ranges are sometimes even fully assembled.
Step 3
Your scooter comes with an operating and assembly manual. Read the instructions and notes on scooter assembly carefully. Pay attention to safety instructions!
Step 4
If your scooter has a folding mechanism, familiarize yourself with how it works. Check that it functions properly. It is also important that all screws are tightened securely. You should check this as well.
Step 5
After checking all important points, you can assemble your scooter. Here is how:
- Place the handlebars into the handlebar clamp on the scooter
- The handlebars must face exactly in the direction of travel
- Check by looking from above that the handlebars are aligned vertically with the front wheel
Step 6
Check that the handlebar clamp is pushed all the way down. The screws should point towards the deck. You will find a slot on the handlebars. This slot should be located exactly between the screws. This allows you to set the correct contact pressure in the next steps.
Step 7
Now tighten the screws on the handlebar clamp. IMPORTANT: Tighten the screws gradually in turns. It is best to work diagonally from one screw to the next, tightening each a little further. This way, you tighten all screws evenly and distribute the contact pressure optimally.
Step 8
Check that the handlebar height is set correctly. Your arms should form a right angle to the handlebars. If the handlebars are not positioned as they should be, loosen the screws on the clamp slightly and readjust them. Then tighten the screws again as described in the previous step and check once more that the handlebars are now set correctly.
Step 9
Your scooter is now fully assembled. Now you should check that the brake is working correctly. Check again that all screws are tightened securely. If you have a height-adjustable scooter or a scooter with a folding mechanism, you should also check the quick-release levers on the handlebars and the folding mechanism.
Step 10
Now you can finally start riding your new scooter. For safety, take a few cautious test rides. After a while, you should check all screws again to see if they are still tight. Vibrations while riding can cause screws to loosen.
