• Further inside is the paint. It is scratch-resistant and free of harmful substances.
• The outer shell of the helmet is made of extra-strong polycarbonate.
• Underneath is the EPS padding, which sits exactly where it should—no matter what happens.

Melon: the in-mold helmet

The cheapest way to build a bike helmet is to simply connect the outer shell to the padding with a few rivets or glue. This leaves gaps, and the connection can loosen over time. In Melon helmets, the shock-absorbing layer is injected directly into the helmet shell. This means it lies seamlessly against it and holds firm. Furthermore, no additional adhesives, rivets, or other fasteners are needed. The straps can also be integrated directly.

The (sun) protection helmet

With the Melon helmet, you have the option of integrating a sun visor that can protect you from UV rays, branches, rain, and a frontal collision. The visor is available in 6 different colors and simply looks good. With a few quick steps, it is inserted into the front of the helmet and just as easily removed when you don't need it. The visor is made of transparent material so that you always have a full overview.

Determining the helmet size for Melon

The Melon helmet for children and adults is specified in three basic sizes. Fine-tuning can be done directly on the helmet. To determine the correct helmet size, you need a measuring tape or a string. Start measuring at the forehead just above the eyebrows and go straight around your head. The measuring tape should always be horizontal to the ground. It is best to have someone help you with this. Depending on the head circumference, there are different pad sizes for the helmet.
