ACADEMY Grade 5 Belt – the lightweight kids' bike for beginners

The Grade 5 Belt from Academy is a 24-inch bike specially developed for children. In collaboration with the German Institute for Orthopedics and Sports in Bielefeld, Academy has set itself the goal of producing the lightest and highest-quality children's bike possible, optimally tailored to children. Ergonomics and weight have had a decisive influence here.

Especially for children who want to learn to ride a bike, weight is a decisive factor. The Grade 5 Belt from Academy weighs just 8.2 kg and is one of the lightest children's bikes on the market. Due to its low weight, the Academy Grade handles better in corners and makes it easier for little riders to accelerate and climb hills. With a lightweight bike, children also do not need as much force to set the bike in motion.

The low step-through height of the frame allows children to mount easily. The patented Vario stem grows in height and length and can be adjusted continuously so that the bike can be optimally adapted to the seating position. The Q-factor reflects the pedaling movement of the rider. For children, it is particularly important to use a low Q-factor so that pedaling is optimally suited to children.

Assembly

All ACADEMY bikes are 80% pre-assembled. Only the pedals, handlebars, and saddle need to be fitted. We recommend checking the brakes before use and readjusting them if necessary. We recommend having the bike assembled by a bicycle mechanic.
