ACADEMY Grade 6 – the lightweight kids' bike for beginners

The Grade 6 from Academy is a 26-inch bike that has been specially designed for children. In collaboration with the German Institute for Orthopedics and Sport in Bielefeld, Academy set itself the goal of producing the lightest and highest-quality children's bike possible, optimally tailored to children. Ergonomics and weight had a decisive influence here.

Especially for children who want to learn to ride a bike, weight is a decisive factor. The Grade 6 from Academy weighs just 9 kg and is one of the lightest children's bikes on the market. Due to its low weight, the Academy Grade handles better in corners and makes it easier for young riders to accelerate and climb hills. With a lightweight bike, children also do not need as much strength to get the bike moving.

The low step-through height of the frame allows children to get on and off easily. The patented Vario stem grows in height and length and can be adjusted continuously, so the bike can be optimally adapted to the seating position. The Q-factor reflects the rider's pedaling motion. For children, it is particularly important to use a low Q-factor so that pedaling is optimally tuned to them.

Assembly

All ACADEMY bikes are 80% pre-assembled. Only the pedals, handlebars, and saddle need to be installed. We recommend checking the brakes before use and readjusting them if necessary. We recommend having the bike assembled by a bicycle mechanic.
