KHE MAC3 Street/Park 2.40" tire with the world's first double carcass

After over two years of development, the KHE MAC3 tire is now ready for the market. Our goal was to offer one of the most stable and lightest BMX 2.40" Street/Park tires available. BMX tires normally have a single-layer carcass onto which the tread is vulcanized. However, since extremely high forces occur during street riding and many riders use tire pressures of over 6 bar (87 psi), we chose a double carcass for optimal stability. Instead of cotton threads, which are used in most BMX tires, the MAC3 is manufactured with Kevlar threads. Kevlar is significantly more stable and lighter than cotton. Thanks to the double carcass, we also have double the number of Kevlar threads. Since Kevlar does not absorb rubber (as is the case with cotton), the MAC3 is still one of the lightest 2.40" tires on the BMX market despite the double carcass.
